Overview
Kenilworth Castle can trace its origins all the way back to the early days of the Norman conquest and a chamberlain of King Henry I in the early 12th century.
After 900 years of repairs and restoration, you’ll have the chance to explore an integral part of English history. There’s even an interactive exhibit in the stables that displays the castle through its highs and lows. If your kids don’t appreciate the intricacies of medieval history, then fear not – they can play dress up here too!
Don’t miss your chance to view the grounds of the castle from Elizabeth I’s private rooms, then climb the castle’s towers for a more impressive aerial perspective. There’s also a recreation of Elizabeth’s gardens, so you can trace the footsteps of the Tudor queen. From the castle keep to the great hall, you’ll be left impressed by the grandeur of this English relic.
