Overview
Enjoy an approximately four-hour guided tour of San Francisco. At each stop, you will have the chance to step off the bus and see the sights firsthand. Throughout the journey, your fully narrated tour will introduce you to San Francisco in a way you have never experienced before.
The tour takes you from the Bay to the Pacific Ocean, with photo opportunities at key locations along the route. You will enjoy remarkable views and visit famous attractions such as the Golden Gate Bridge and either Land’s End or the Palace of Fine Arts. A stop at Twin Peaks offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city from 1,000 feet above sea level. You may also choose to upgrade your tour to include a bay cruise or a visit to the Aquarium of the Bay, giving you a complete perspective of San Francisco from both land and sea.
As you travel through Golden Gate Park, your guide will point out seasonal flower displays, grazing bison, and the historic windmills overlooking the Pacific. Along the way, you will learn about San Francisco’s early settlements, from Native American communities and Spanish missionaries to the frenzied days of the Gold Rush. Driving through the once-infamous Barbary Coast and into the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, you will see San Francisco’s iconic Victorian homes that reflect the city’s rich cultural history.
After exploring the city by land and viewing the bay from above, you can get even closer to the region’s marine life with a visit to the Aquarium of the Bay. Located at Pier 39, the aquarium features 300 feet of crystal-clear acrylic tunnels filled with 700,000 gallons of carefully maintained bay water that sustain approximately 20,000 animals, including octopi and native seven-gill sharks reaching up to eight feet in length. Visitors can admire mesmerizing jellyfish displays and even touch bat rays, skates, and other “splash zone” animals. Over its fifteen-year history, more than seven million guests, including over 100,000 schoolchildren, have experienced San Francisco’s spectacular Aquarium of the Bay.
