Overview
Spend the day exploring the three top wine regions of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. This day tour to the Cape Winelands includes a wine and chocolate pairing with a cellar tour, an urban wine (or beer) tasting in Franschhoek, as well as an afternoon wine tasting with cheese pairing at Simonsig, after a guided walk in Stellenbosch. It's a must-do for visitors and locals alike.
You'll be treated to a chocolate and wine tasting and cellar tour at the majestic Rhebokskloof wine farm. Drive through Paarl and enjoy a photo stop at the Drakenstein Prison (where Nelson Mandela was released on 11 February 1990) on the way to Franschhoek. Guests will have about 1.5 hours to explore the town, enjoy lunch or indulge in an extra wine tasting.
Then, take a scenic drive over the impressive Helshoogte Pass to the picturesque town of Stellenbosch, then head to Simonsig for an afternoon wine tasting with cheese platter, before heading back to Cape Town.
